King Abdulaziz University Hospital has successfully renewed its accreditation from the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), in recognition of its full compliance with national hospital quality standards following a comprehensive on-site evaluation.
The renewal came after a comprehensive evaluation covering all aspects of hospital operations, from quality of care and patient safety to the expertise of medical and administrative teams, the effectiveness of governance systems, and the integration of state-of-the-art facilities. The hospital continues to pursue international best practices within its academic healthcare model to deliver outstanding patient services.
Professor Samera bint Fahd Al Basri, Director of the University Hospital, emphasized that the renewed accreditation is the result of collective effort and dedication from every member of the hospital, physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrators alike. She noted that the accreditation reflects the hospital’s vision and mission to provide exceptional healthcare, medical education, and scientific research, while advancing community health and safety in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
CBAHI is the official national authority responsible for accrediting public and private healthcare institutions across Saudi Arabia. Recognition from CBAHI is widely regarded as a benchmark of service excellence and operational efficiency in the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.
